Training

The Quantum Algorithms Institute creates and delivers professional development training and resources to build expertise in quantum computing.

Our goal is to build quantum literacy in the business community and grow the quantum workforce with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to apply quantum computing to companies and organizations.

The fastest way to grow the quantum workforce is to upskill people who already have STEM or other related qualifications.

QAI is your link to resources and training to help you transition to the quantum industry.

The Quantum Algorithms Institute currently offers the following training opportunities:

Quantum Software Engineering Bootcamp

This training program is provided in partnership with the University of Victoria and the Quantum Algorithms Institute.

The Quantum Software Engineering Bootcamp is an online intensive program designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to develop quantum software using Python, Qiskit, Git, and Docker. The Bootcamp is designed for a wide range of participants who need the skills to excel in the field of quantum computing―especially programmers looking to develop, test, and deploy quantum software.

D-Wave Quantum Computing Training @ QAI

D-Wave Quantum Computing Training @ QAI is a self-paced and instructor supported 1-week online course, followed by one-month unlimited access to the D-Wave Leap™Quantum Cloud service. This is a short, intensive time-period to learn how to use D-Wave Leap™ and explore how D-Wave quantum hardware and services can apply to a wide range of applications across multiple industries.

The Quantum Algorithms Institute is covering the full cost for the training and access to the D-Wave Leap™ Quantum Cloud service.  This program is open to faculty, students, and staff that are currently with a post-secondary institution in Canada.

NOTE: This program is close to being full and all applications may not be approved in this current cohort. QAI will continue to receive applications in anticipation of future program expansion.

IBM Quantum System One Access @ QAI

With the announcement of the opening of the IBM Quantum System One in Quebec, QAI has formed an agreement with the Platform for Digital and Quantum Innovation of Quebec (PINQ²) to provide access to the IBM system for BC post-secondary faculty and students. QAI is covering the cost of access to the IBM system in support of the continued research excellence in B.C.
